WORK…..WORK…WORK….
November 1, 2008 by mcboywell the fun has been had…..the playing, composing, collaborating……..now….its….time…for ….work……now its time to mix and master all these wonderful tracks…….i just spent a whole week mixing and mastering the vocal track with antoinette……i added some new rhythm guitars to her verses…added some compressors on her vocal tracks, some vocal effects….even tho i’m undecided on some of them..the vocal doubler effect versus having her actually double her voice….etc…etc…i’ll play it by ear……i really enjoyed the guitar solos …gary did the first solo and i followed up with a contrasting response…..gary is such a melodic player that the only way i find to respond to his solos’s is to play rhythmic interplays with the bass ,drums and rhythm guitars….the contrast works quite nicely in my humble opinion……k….now its back to work….work….work……

just won a used zoom ps-04 on ebay….it is a hand held 4 track digital recorder…old school but sounds great…has built in drum and bass machine and a stereo mike to record acoustic guitar and vocals….great for doing ruff sketchs and ideas on the go……woohoooo….

my first single is up on itunes…”Slingers”…it is my virtual band..with members in Atlanta…Connecticut..and Miami……Mcboy is also the name of my band on itunes….the album will be posted by late october if all goes well…..i am currently recording some vocal artists as guests on the album…there will be 4 vocal tracks and 4 instrumentals……i’m very excited……
